Cupping is such an intimate experience. It’s something that I love to take part of. Examine beans, grind and smell, take in that fragrance. Then put water over them, break the crust and experience the aromatic properties of the coffees. Scrape the grounds off the top… and finally slurp. 

It’s experiencing coffee in it’s purest form that I love the most. As the coffee brews and cools, it takes on different characteristics throughout the time it spends on the table. These particular coffees were from Ethiopia, lots of floral notes and sweetness. Be on the look out at Chromatic Coffee Co. for one of these from the table to hit the shelves and a grinder near you.
